Calculating your cost of attendance
You can use the Illinois Cost Calculator to obtain an estimate of your tuition, campus fees and other estimated costs by answering a few questions or to compare program options.
When calculating your estimated expenses for the MSBA, please select 18 credit hours when asked "How many credit hours are you or will you be taking?".
Deposit
Applicants who are offered admission must submit a nonrefundable deposit to reserve a spot in the program. This is a partial payment that will be credited to the tuition bill during the first semester of classes.
Scholarship Opportunities
Gies College of Business offers a limited number of merit and need-based scholarships for qualified students. All students who plan on enrolling for fall terms are eligible to apply. Recipients will be selected based on need, academic standing, and essay submissions. To apply, follow the essay instructions found on the admissions page. Scholarship essay submissions must be received with the application for full consideration for scholarship.
Gies+ Scholarship
Students who are currently earning a master’s degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign outside of Gies College of Business can receive a second graduate degree from Gies Business in conjunction with their primary degree. In as little as nine months, you can combine your passion for academic disciplines like engineering, human resources, law, advertising, architecture, healthcare, and social work with your interest in business.
Students who apply for the Gies+ scholarship are eligible to receive up to a $10,000 tuition discount once they are admitted into one of the participating Gies Business programs. Learn more about the Gies+ Scholarship.
